“First off this bed and breakfast is out of the way. If your looking for peace and quiet this place is for you. We rented 2 of the three rooms they offer. Everything here is clean, new and well kept. The rooms are larger then average. Amber the owner is a fantastic host. Very down home and a pleasure to talk to. She is also a great cook! She made us feel welcome the moment we arrived. I highly recommend this place!” (5 Stars – Trip Advisor Guest)

“We stayed in very comfortable and spacious suite in the old home with an excellent breakfast. It was quiet and relaxing and a short drive from Lancaster. The breakfast was scrambled eggs with peppers and local cheese, homemade sourdough with cinnamon butter and overnight oats. The host greeted us with fresh baked cookies. It was a lovely stay. Definitely recommend picking the Metzler Suite so you’re in the old house!” (5 Stars – Jocelyn F.)

“Our recent stay at Moonstone Manor for Derek and Olivia’s wedding was nothing short of magical, and I simply had to share what an absolute gem this place is. From the moment we arrived, the entire experience was infused with warmth and elegance, making it an unforgettable part of the celebration.

The rooms at Moonstone Manor are, without exaggeration, absolutely beautiful and truly breathtaking. Each space feels meticulously cared for, blending historical charm with luxurious comfort. The attention to detail in the decor and furnishings creates an ambiance that is both grand and incredibly inviting. It was a joy to return to such a stunning and comfortable retreat after the wedding festivities.

Beyond the exquisite accommodations, the hospitality extended by the innkeepers, Wendy and Tom, was exceptional. They are truly the heart of Moonstone Manor, making every guest feel genuinely welcome and cared for. This was especially evident during breakfast, which they personally served. The breakfast itself was a delightful spread, fresh and delicious, providing the perfect start to our day. Wendy and Tom’s friendly demeanor and thoughtful service made the meal feel like a warm gathering among friends, adding another layer of charm to our stay.” (5 Stars – Laura J.)

“Moonstone Manor is nothing short of magical. The property is beautiful, historic, and well-kept. The ROOMS, my god. They are better than the photos. We stayed in the Thaddeus room, and I felt like I was in a Victorian piece living like royalty.

We stayed in low season, and so we turned up to find that we were the only guests staying that night. Nevertheless, Wendy and Tom greeted us enthusiastically, gave us a tour of the property including all the different rooms, and cooked us a phenomenal breakfast. They were such gracious innkeepers, I was blown away by the hospitality.

The bed was very comfortable, the bathrooms are amazing. Fire crackling in every room. I truly cannot express how great it was. I will certainly be back here.” (5 Stars – Chelsea J.)

“Jan and Bruce have each found their calling – Bruce is such a whimsical artist, and Jan is the amazing hostess of this wonderful B&B. We arrived late at night, and the path to the entry along the lighted walkway through the arbor in the gardens was magical. Once inside, we helped ourselves to homemade cookies and hot chocolate, tea, and coffee in the dining room, then investigated the common area – the sitting room and the gallery room where Bruce’s fantastic artwork takes center stage. Our curiosity satisfied for the moment, we went upstairs to our room, full of cozy antiques and an incredibly comfortable bed. Our private bathroom was well appointed, and the small snack area with drinks and chips upstairs had a fridge we made use of for leftovers from our evening meal. Breakfast was a feast, with muffins, fruit, open-faced ham and egg sandwiches with Morney sauce, juices, and fresh-baked desserts. I would highly recommend and we plan to return soon!” (5 Stars – Karen H.)

“The Artists Inn was fabulous! Bruce & Jan were extremely hospitable. Bruce’s art work & the gallery is quite impressive and entertaining. Jan’s cooking is outstanding. My main concern when traveling is always cleanliness. Our room and all the public areas were spotless. We stayed in the Rose Room and the mattress was so comfortable & the sheets were soft and cozy. The bathroom was clean, but I am pretty sure Jan spruced it up each day when she would make our bed and open the blinds anyway, which was a nice touch. She also turned down our beds each night and left us a little treat like home made candies for when we returned for the night. Overall, it was a lovely stay and we will most certainly be back again. Of course, talking and mingling with the other guests at breakfast each morning was very nice as well!” (5 Stars – Rebecca A.)

“Imagine if your favorite cousin was Ina Garten and she opened a B&B! Well that’s just how owner/innkeeper Beth makes you feel. She treats you like family, cooks like the “Barefoot Contessa” and pays attention to every detail! The rooms are immaculate, the sheets are soft and silky, the beautiful quilts are warm and cozy, and showers have actual water pressure! Beth, greets you and gives you a house tour making sure you know where everything is and how everything works. She has thought of everything including ear plugs and a white noise machine in case you are a really light sleeper. We didn’t need either once the lights were out! Breakfast is at 8:30 each morning and is a three course affair that is sure to please! Beth could give Ina Garten a run for her money in the kitchen any day! Any dietary restrictions/preferences are honored. If you’re not full after the feast, it’s your own fault! The Inn has only four guest rooms, so you really feel at home during your stay. The two sitting rooms downstairs are comfortable and inviting and gave us a chance to meet the other guests. Walnut Lawn is in the heart of Amish Country and convenient to all the attractions. Let Beth help you plan your perfect get away!” (5 Stars – Haywood P.)

“It was one of those weeks that stay with you forever – one part dream, one part storybook. We have been staying at this B&B for over 8 years, tucked away on the corner, it was called Walnut Lawn and it lived up to its name. from the moment we arrived it felt like stepping into a postcard. I loved the wrap around porch, the porch swing and all of the beautiful flowers wrapping around the home. The Innkeeper, Beth always has a warm smile and an encyclopedic knowledge of the area and things to do.
Our room was spacious, with a beautiful quilt on the bed. It was warm, inviting and peaceful. I’ve slept better than I’ve slept in months. Waking up to the birds chirping and the horse buggies riding by is like nothing else.
Breakfasts are 10/10. Each morning you get delicious coffee, juice and a 3 course meal which always involves local sometimes even from Beth’s garden fruit/veggies. She puts thought into her meals and knocks it out of the park every time.
It’s always sad leaving because it feels like home whenever you are there. I am so thankful to have found this hidden gem and I cannot wait to return again.” (5 Stars – Sharyn S.)

“What a cozy place to stay. My sister, my cousin and I were staying in town for a baby shower, and it was the most quintessential place we have ever stayed. Perfect, warm atmosphere for a cold January. We were provided with a hot breakfast, muffins, fresh fruit ,and beverages that were included in our stay. The rooms were inviting, very clean and cozy. We had a fireplace that made the room even more comfortable. I recommend this place 100 percent for your travel needs. We will definitely be booking it again.” (5 Stars – Dawn M.)

“After a very long 11 hour drive, we were glad to arrive at The Courtyard Bed & Breakfast. Walking down the path to our room felt like we were entering a much needed oasis. As we entered our room, our feelings were confirmed. Our room was beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable. All the details were well thought out from the lit fireplace, the bathroom amenities to even the fresh baked muffins waiting for us. A warm smile and heartfelt welcome from our host, helped us to leave the days stresses behind us.” (5 Stars – Scott S.)
