The Clay House Bed and Breakfast (A Modern Lancaster County B&B)
The Northern end of Lancaster County is filled with charm, and well, this B&B is filled to the brim. Newly built in 2020, this modern farmhouse was made with the details in mind. With four private guest rooms (with private bathrooms, yay!) this new bed and breakfast gives you all you want from a bed and breakfast with a modern, Pinterest inspired twist. Can we also mention that the owners, Mary and Seth Martin, are owners of a cafe so coffee is their specialty. All guest to this Lancaster County B&B are welcome to their complimentary coffee bar throughout their stay. They make iced and hot lattes, Italian cream sodas, tea lattes, chai teas and more! For the millennial who loves coffee and cozy curated spaces, this is the B&B to check out.

“My husband and I had a wonderful stay in the Bohemian room for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We chose to add on the candlelit dinner and breakfast, both of which were incredible. The complimentary coffee and tea bar was so fun and delicious too! Seth and Mary were excellent hosts and made us feel at home and we enjoyed our conversations with them.

Blue Rock Bed & Breakfast (A Family Friendly Lancaster County B&B)
Finding its home in college town of Millersville, PA, Blue Rock Bed and Breakfast has created a tranquil retreat for couples and families alike. Three guest rooms with handmade quilts welcome guests of all ages and even a furry friend (in the Cabin Family Suite only.) Your hosts, Ed and Stephanie Hersh actually met at Millersville University and married shortly after in 1980. Stephanie is a former special ed teacher and Ed has degrees in counseling, theology and more. For those who want a little extra spiritual care, the Hershes offer retreat like experience with counseling and prayer. They also offer 50% off discounts for pastors and missionaries who apply.

“STAY HERE! Wonderful experience spending the weekend at the Blue Rock Bed and Breakfast. Great location just outside of Lancaster and tucked into the beautifully maintained farm land. The property is well maintained and a great place to spend time enjoying nature. So much character and detail found in this historic home. Last but not least, breakfast was phenomenal every morning with fresh produce from the local farms. “This is the perfect B&B for your family! Our family of 4 had plenty of room in the large suite with room to spare. Everyone had there own comfy bed and it was well separated from the living area if you needed quite time. The bathroom is huge giving everyone space to get ready for the day. The toys and games that were in the room were a nice touch. The amount of food offered is plenty and there’s something for everyone – eggs, sausage, pancakes (3 types), muffins, granola, fresh fruit and salsa from the garden. We did not have any food restrictions but Stephanie was willing to accommodate if we did. Ed and Stephanie are welcoming and offer a great value with their rooms and breakfast. “The best parts about this B&B are the proprietors, Ed and Stephanie Hersh. Ed doubles as a professional Christian counselor and offers his services as part of your stay. Susan and Tim Kauffman are your hosts for your Hershey stay and offer nine guest rooms (all with private bathrooms) and a homemade breakfast for each guest that graces their door step. “We just stayed this weekend in the country room. We brought our 16 year old son with us and he could not stop raving about how much he enjoyed it there. We all loved the service and the accommodations. The owners are great and very friendly. Breakfast was perfect. Lots of options and yummy! But to have our son fall in love with Bed and Breakfasts from this experience speaks volumes. I wish I took more pictures. “Unique place, very very nice. The owners are super kind, they made us feel home right as we came in and my husband was called by name. Then they were serving homemade breakfast; also, they were serving coffee and juice to the tables.
All the common areas and our room were clean. The way everything was set up (towels, blankets) is a regular hotel level or even better. Our room also had an electric stove which was very cute. We also got to pet a horse outside. 🥰 Highly recommend this place!” (5 Stars – Hanna)
Cameron Estate Inn (An Upscale Lancaster County B&B)
Looking for a B&B experience that offers just a touch more elegance? Cameron Estate Inn, sitting on 15 acre grounds, is the home to a B&B, Event & Wedding Space like no other. These twenty two beautifully appointed rooms, which offer historic details, give plenty of space to relax and unwind. I’m also happy to report that they do welcome children of all ages and have some rooms available for our furry friends to tag along.

“After being engaged for nearly a year, my wife and I decided to have a getaway for Valentine’s Day. We found ourselves at The Cameron Estate Inn B&B for the weekend. While we were there, we took a tour with Dakota and LOVED everything that we saw. Employees were kind and accommodating to all of our needs. Our wedding day was no different! On April 29, 2017, every detail about our wedding went off without a hitch because of their helpful suggestions and detailed wedding planning guide. Any questions we had were answered quickly. After working with Dakota for the planning process, we had Emily as our event coordinator for the entire day. She was always asking us if we needed anything or just to make sure things were going as planned.
On the day of the wedding, so many guests were in love with the location, that many chose to stay the night. We, of course, were there for the night as well in a room with a whirlpool tub. (HIGHLY RECOMMEND!) And with a complementary breakfast, they make you feel right at home. As for the location itself, the property is beautiful. Our pictures turned out amazing because of the variety of indoor and outdoor scenery they offer. Truly a great place for any time of year. “We only stayed a day at the Cameron Estate Inn, but it did not disappoint. We had the deluxe king room, no 11, which was cute with an old world charm. We booked dinner for the evening and we can’t express how amazing it was. I had the mussel appetizer and paired it with the sea bass entree. Great choice for sure.
