“Absolutely wonderful room and facility in a renovated historic barn. Breakfast was really excellent with three real courses and plenty of good coffee. The grounds are spectacular, and the family that runs the facility is friendly and helpful. A real treat for a weekend getaway. It was a great base camp for forays all around Lancaster.” (5 Stars – Steven M.)
“Beautifully renovated barn with huge rooms and comfortable furnishings. ‘Public spaces’ abound with a shaded long porch, sunny patio with umbrella tables, walking trail to a waterfall, and more. Breakfast service able to accommodate dietary restrictions (one vegan, one dairy-free in our group). Would definitely stay there again.”

Just beyond the tiny hamlet of Brownstown, tucked away in what appears to be a storybook forest, you’ll find the charming Pinetown Bridge Bed and Breakfast. It’s easy to see why guests love this little cottage in the woods. Not only is it quiet and quaint, it’s view is the Pinetown Bridge – a one car wooden covered bridge that runs over the Conestoga River and is on the National Register of Historic Places. For those who love to bike or run, there are 2 or 3 mile loops that run past the property and bridge, so sightseeing is right out your doorstep.

‘The house is beautiful, clean, and homy. The outside of the house is also beautiful and well kept. We enjoyed the river across the street from the house so much. We sat by the chairs next to the river, drank coffee and enjoyed the view while listening to water streaming and the birds chirping. So relaxing” (5 Stars – Marisabel B.)
“Everything was absolutely wonderful. Innkeepers Patty and Jerry were warm and welcoming, rooms were immaculately clean, bedding was very comfortable, towels were thick, breakfast was delicious, location was peaceful with the river view and the Amish buggies crossing the covered bridge. The rockers on the front porch were occupied pretty much all day and evening with guests relaxing. The grounds are beautiful with flowers, ponds, fountains, trees. My family is in the hospitality industry and I highly recommend this B and B. Thank you for my very restful weekend!” (5 Stars – Marge C.)

If you hear the faint bells of a carousel or smell the sweet aroma of caramel corn when walking the grounds here at Rocky Springs B&B, we would not be surprised. The air of a sweet history live here at Rocky Springs, as it was the former site of Rocky Springs Amusement Park. The Victorian Era park served the Lancaster County Area for 100 years and although it folded in the 1960s, the legacy of joy moves forward with the Rocky Springs B&B. Taking a note from it’s heritage, the B&B is adorned with mid 19th century decor. Walk the wooded grounds and find a few leftover treasures from the days of old. For History Lovers, this special B&B is a real treat.

“My husband and I go away every October with my husband’s roommate from college & his wife … We have been doing this for over 30 years & have stayed in well over 50 different B and B’s…We aren’t sure how we missed this one ! Rocky Springs Bed & Breakfast in truly a hidden gem … It is close to everything – especially Sight and Sound. Elaine, the owner , treats you like good friends the minute that you walk in the door. Our room was the Figari room & it was comfortable and spacious… There is no TV in the room but if you want to watch some, there is a TV on the first floor in the room next to the dining room. Breakfasts were very good …loved that every breakfast ended with a little bite of “dessert” …” (5 Stars – Andrea F.)
“My husband and I stayed for a weekend to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We stayed in the cottage and really loved it. It was clean and beautifully decorated. Elaine the hostess could not have been nicer. She was able to explain to us the rich history of Rocky Springs as well as direct us to some off the beaten track attractions of the area. The breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area and hope to return one day soon!” (5 Stars – Debra S.)

“Top notch! First impression: welcoming. Even though instructions were sent in advance, Kenneth was there at the front door to greet us on arrival, to teach us how to unlock the door. Second impression: stepping inside I immediately noticed how nice the space smells!
I especially appreciated the game room, and cozy library where, after helping myself to the available hot tea and cookies, I curled up under a throw on the sofa, and read.
As I had requested, plant based yogurt was made available for my breakfast. And, when I left my nightgown behind in the Michael Suite, Kenneth mailed it to me. (I have stayed in quite a few Inns, and have never experienced this level of consideration, and personal service.)” (5 Stars – Rosalyn B.)
“Thank you, Kenneth for your hospitality. Our bedroom was beautiful and very comfortable. The house is lovely and decorated beautiful. The breakfast was delicious with a nice variety. The location is perfect. The property is large with a beautiful stream and a Bamboo garden. We will definitely be coming back again in the future.” (5 Stars – Jean B.)

There is something special here at Speedwell, something you won’t find at many B&B’s you attend. Does it have a historic building with beautiful detail and tons of charm? Yes, built in 1760, this brownstone mansion is a beauty to behold. Does it sit on many acres of stunning countryside? Yes, it’s 120 acre estate filled with woods, water, and more. But what makes this B&B unique is that it shares part of it’s property with a Wolf Sanctuary. Guests are invited to explore the property’s wildlife habitats and experience the beauty of nature up close. Stroll the grounds and witness the majesty of the wolves especially active during the cooler months. Overnight guests can also enjoy a complimentary daytime wolf tour when booking their stay.

”Spent the weekend at the Whyte House. Very private setting secluded along the wolf sanctuary. The property is gated, very clean, and very well organized. Maggie met us as soon as we pulled in and took great care of us during our stay. The breakfasts Dawn prepared and had delivered each morning were wonderful and unique. We enjoyed eating on the deck and listing to the howls of the wolves in the morning and evening. The Whyte House is spacious, well appointed, and the AC was perfect on those 90+ degree days. We drove into Lititz for lunch, shopping, and dinner and came back each night to see the wolves and other wildlife along the property. Highly recommended for any duration of stay. We know we will be coming back again.” (5 Stars – Dann D.)
“My husband and I stayed the weekend in the Paymaster’s Cottage. We had such a relaxing time! The room is lovely, with a wonderful tub, king-sized bed, and kitchenette. There is a table and chairs outside the cottage and we sat out there for many hours, just listening to the wolves howl and watching the wildlife. The breakfast was delivered to us each day and Dawn accommodated my lactose-free needs. The French toast was delicious! We maximized our time on the grounds and if I visit again (I hope to!), I would bring food and never drive off the site. This is not just a bed and breakfast but an experience as well. To hear those wolves, one pack at a time, join in a communal howl – well, no words can describe it. It is music to heal the soul.” (5 Stars – Heather G.)
